Surya Click CANVAS SERIES

Surya Click Canvas Series HDF Laminate Flooring is available in 8 mm and 12 mm thicknesses, with each plank measuring 220 mm by 1190 mm. It comes in AC4 grade only. The larger plank size reduces the number of seams, makes installation easier and creates the illusion of a bigger space.

The Canvas Series is resistant to termites, borers and fungi. It’s also easy to clean and doesn’t require glue for installation. Herringbone Collection

Let's begin with the Herringbone pattern, which is named after the shape of the bones in a herring fish skeleton. This pattern has been around since the time of the ancient Roman Empire. Roman road builders found that if they arranged bricks in a V-shape on a gravel base, it made the road more stable. This method of construction was called opus spicatum, which means "spiked work" in Latin. The Herringbone pattern was not used for flooring until the 16th century. The term "parquetry" comes from the French word for "small compartment," referring to how small wooden pieces were cut and arranged into geometric patterns. During the 1600s, both the Herringbone and Chevron patterns became popular in France, often seen as symbols of status and luxury. One of the earliest examples of wooden Herringbone flooring can be found at the Francis Gallery in the Château de Fontainebleau, installed in 1539.
